The Ground breaking ceremony for SuperKEKB project will be held on Nov. 18 2011. Ceremony starts from 15:00 at Kobayashi Hall, Kenkyu-Honkan Building, KEK. Party from 18:30 at Okura Frontier Hotel Tsukuba Annex. See details in Groundbreaking Ceremony.

KEKB will stop at 9:00 a.m. June 30, 2010. The shutdown ceremony will be held at 8:50 a.m. June 30. The director, A. Suzuki will push the shutdown button.

On the 7th of October (Tuesday) at 6:45 pm, Nobel Foundation announced the name of the Nobel Prize winners in Physics. Among the recipients, are Yoichiro Nambu, Professor emeritus of University of Chicago, Makoto KOBAYASHI, Professor emeritus of KEK and Toshihide MASKAWA, Professor emeritus of Kyoto University.
